J. Scheidegger Center Upping the Ante for 2014-2015 Season

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

The Hastings+Chivetta designed Scheidegger Center at Lindenwood University has announced their 2014-2015 performance schedule.  The venue’s new partnership with Contemporary Productions means that this year’s schedule will feature some high-profile acts such as Jay Leno and Willie Nelson.  According to Steve Schankman, president of Contemporary, Scheidegger’s stage is big enough for virtually any artists to appear “and artists who’ve played here want to come back.”

The 1,200-seat theater has a 5,900 SF stage with large wings, a fly loft, catwalks, spot platforms and a state-of-the-art control booth. The lower level has an orchestra pit, a trap, mechanical rooms and storage.  The Center is home to the departments of theater, instrumental and vocal music, and costume and fashion design, which were previously scattered throughout the campus.
