Founded in 1828, Lindenwood University was one of Missouri’s first liberal arts universities. Lindenwood hired Hastings+Chivetta to update their Campus Master Plan for the 21st century and to address growth management issues caused by night and weekend programs. The university then retained Hastings+Chivetta to design the major buildings identified in the plan.
The resulting projects include:
- Evans Commons Athletic & Recreation Center
- Harmon Hall, School of Business, Additions & Renovations
- Spellmann Campus Center
- Football Stadium
- Lou Brock Field Complex
- Scheidegger Center for the Arts
- Residence Halls
- Hyland Performance Arena
- Bell Tower
Improvements to the overall campus environment include new pedestrian walkways, campus signage, re-roofing of many of the flat roofed new structures to match the pitched roof older buildings, and realignment of First Capital Drive running in front of the University.
Plan documents boosted fundraising efforts for a successful capital campaign.
