The project employed a modified design/build process, whereby a pricing package consisting of plans and performance specifications was used to select mechanical and electrical design/build contractors by a competitive bidding process. The design/build engineers then became part of the architectural/engineering team for completion of construction documents coordinated by Hastings+Chivetta.
