Tulsa Community College

Mathematics and Science Center

Tulsa Community College is one of the nation’s leading community colleges and the largest in Oklahoma. With four campuses in Tulsa, the college serves over 30,000 students per semester. With each semester, the college is seeing increasing enrollment and greater interest in mathematics and science programs.

In order to accommodate this growth in math and science majors, as well as general academic requirements, the college commissioned Hastings+Chivetta, in association with Fritz Baily, to design a new Mathematics and Science Center for its west campus.

The new center is a two-level addition onto an existing building. It includes four instructional laboratories with two adjacent prep rooms, three classrooms, administrative and faculty offices, and a lecture hall with seating for 54 students. A greenhouse sits on the exterior of the building, in addition to a large patio that extends from a study lounge.
