Missouri Valley Conference

New Headquarters

Founded in 1907, the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) is composed of nine Midwest universities: Northern Iowa, Drake, Bradley, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Indiana State, Evansville, Missouri State and Wichita State. The MVC decided to capitalize on the recent successes of its teams – and their heightened visibility – with the purchase of land for a new building, a vital component of their strategic planning efforts, since they had outgrown long ago their current offices in St. Louis. The MVC commissioned Hastings+Chivetta to design new state-of-the-art headquarters.

The new MVC building is envisioned as a meeting center for conference teams. The facility will include a divisible multipurpose space for events with an adjacent catering kitchen, board rooms, meeting rooms, and offices for institutional development, alumni, and admissions personnel.

The Centennial Hall will contain a museum and video kiosks. A media center with the latest technology will allow for uplinking to media conferences or live television interviews. The MVC Headquarters was completed in 2008.
