Lindenwood University commissioned Hastings+Chivetta to design eight residence halls to accommodate the growing numbers of full-time, on-campus students. The rolling hills of Lindenwood’s 500-acre wooded campus offer the perfect setting for the residence halls, which are sited in close proximity to the fitness center and the student union, also designed by Hastings+Chivetta.
Construction was divided into phases to accommodate existing housing residents. The buildings, which are the first new residence halls constructed at Lindenwood since 1966, house 1,600 students in primarily four-person suites, featuring two bedrooms and semi-private baths. Amenities in each building include laundry facilities, meeting rooms, lounges, a kitchen, storage, wireless internet and cable TV.
