Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Saint Louis University broke ground Monday on the Hastings+Chivetta-designed $71 million residence hall. The new building will house 528 students and will also include a 740-seat dining hall, classrooms, study lounges and an outdoor plaza. The facility will be completed in the summer of 2017.

The seven-story dorm is the second new residence hall under construction in as many years for SLU, and is part of a $115 million plan to enhance student housing at the university. The first residence hall – also a Hastings+Chivetta project – is currently under construction and set to open in 2016.
