Stakeholder Engagement at Centre College

Stakeholder Engagement at Centre College

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

When Hastings+Chivetta Architects was asked to assist Centre College in the renovation of and addition to Young Hall Science Center, our design team knew that comprehensive stakeholder engagement would be of the utmost importance.  Approximately 43,000 sf of new learning space was added, and a portion of the 1960’s era science building was renovated to provide world-class learning facilities.  The success of this project can be credited to the stakeholder engagement process which started with the initial visioning and lasted all the way through construction.

Recently, Chris Chivetta partnered with Stephanie Fabritius, vice president for academic affairs and dean of Centre College, to speak about this stakeholder engagement process at Tradeline’s College and University Science Facilities conference.  This week, Tradeline is featuring a report on Chris and Stephanie’s talk – Comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Yields World Class STEM Facility. For over 35 years, Tradeline Inc. has been a leading resource for institutional, corporate and government professionals in the planning, design, construction and management of their facilities.  We are excited that an organization such as Tradeline recognizes the importance and success of Hastings+Chivetta process and the impressive results it yields.
