Hastings+Chivetta Project Architects Chris Rollhaus & Robert Neu recently had their article, “Recreation Centers and Building Codes: Then and Now,” published by The Construction Specifier. In the article, Chris and Robert explain the design and building code evolutions for recreation and assembly buildings. They also touch on three revisions that have had the greatest impact on the design of these structures: accessible seating dispersion, egress requirements and the ‘20-foot Rule.’
