Hastings+Chivetta is pleased to announce the completion of the $5.7 million renovation of Aquaport for the City of Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department.  Aquaport celebrated its grand reopening with the Maryland Heights community at the end of May 2021.  For many, the highlight of the renovation was the addition of the Aquatic Development Group (ADG) FlowRider, which is an exciting new surfing simulator.  Other improvements included a renovated concessions area, new filtration systems, new admissions kiosks, and a new St. Louis Cardinal themed element in the children’s pool.  Key team members on this project included Counsilman-Hunsaker, Capri Pools & Aquatics, and Contegra Construction Co.

Aquaport first opened in 1998 and has since entertained countless local families with its children’s pool, many slides, lazy river, and party space.  This project was the most intensive renovation of the water park since the addition of the Extreme Bowl in 2006.
